Is Sugar Really Making Me Fat?

Is Sugar Really Making Me Fat?

Short answer? Yes. Ok, so your follow up question is “How?”. Let me explain.

When you have processed sugar, your body has to secrete insulin into your bloodstream, which tells your body to store fatty acids and keeps you from burning it as energy.

Is sugar technically bad for you? No, but the quantities that we consume in this day and age is ridiculously unrealistic. Consider this: imagine how much sugarcane or any other fruit one has to consume just to have had the same amount you find in a can of coke (that stuff will kill btw, a topic for another day).

How much sugar is too much? Well, that really depends on the individual, but I’d rather stay clear of the stuff.

  • Because it Causes Massive Dopamine Release in The Brain, Sugar is Highly Addictive
